Metalized films were used as the premium grade film, but with the advancement of technology, it became apparent that the structure of the film was impeding on radio and cellular signals, making communication or other devises in the vehicle inoperable. It was understood that ceramic particles contained similar heat and other protective qualities as the metals used in the production of film.
