Vista
Platinum dealers are ‘hand picked’
by CPFilms to be the Best of the Best. Future Tint
& Stripe has been a Platinum dealer since 2002.
It is our promise to help guide you, not sell you,
the best possible product for your requirement.
If we are unable to satisfy your requirement, hopefully
we have helped in some way to put you on the right
path. Listed below are the Vista products available
with some suggested uses. As each application and
situation is unique, please feel free to consult
with us on your particular need. Some films will
be compatible with single or dual pane windows that
are not recommended on a triple pane window. We
will work with you to determine the best film for
your individual situation.
All Vista films are UV stabilized with 99.9%
UV Protection. It is the recommended
product for any installation where maximum
UV protection is required and has the stamp of approval
from the Skin Cancer Foundation as a recommended
product, especially for people with sensitivity
to direct sunlight.

Neutral Films
These films are designed to be neutral, or almost
invisible. While providing good Fade Protection,
they do not detract from the original intent of
the window, which is to let the natural light in,
while filtering 99.9% of the UV rays out. They are
a natural selection for homes, showrooms and display
windows. When viewing the product specification
chart, notice the low interior reflectivity and
maximum UV protection. |

Dual Reflective Films
The Dual Reflective Series are designed to have
a reflective exterior to maximize heat protection,
while having a substantially less reflective interior
to provide a crisp, clear view to the outside, without
interior reflection. There is a wide range of densities
from light (Nuance, V-48) to very dark and reflective
(Ultima V-14). A light to medium film is typically
used on homes. The darker, more reflective films
are used primarily for commercial or industrial
applications. The highly reflective Vista Ultima
is used quite often to provide a one-way-glass situation.
This is dependant on the lighting situation of course.
When viewing the product specification chart, compare
the Interior Reflectance to the Exterior Reflectance.
Heat and glare reduction are important values as
well. Vista Safety/Security Films
VISTA now offers the same Dual Reflective Films
(V-28 and V-38) with the added protection of being
a Safety Film. The film is an overall 6-mil thickness
and will provide additional protection from broken
glass fragments. This can be beneficial to homeowners
with ground level windows or shops where added safety
and security is required. While this film may slow
entry into the premises during a break-and-enter,
it needs to be used with a proper alarm system to
be effective. These films also offer the same fade,
heat and glare reduction values as the regular film.
(See also the Magnum Security Film section)
Vista Sunrise Bronze
This unique film belongs with the Dual Reflective
group with the exception of having a soft bronze
tone, instead of neutral or grey. It has tremendous
performance to reflect heat and UV, while still
maintaining a very natural look, especially in a
home with natural wood or earth tone décor.
When viewing the product specification chart, take
note of the high ‘Solar Heat Reduction’.
This film is used extensively on homes with large
windows and serious heat problems. It is the strongest
heat protection film that can be applied to triple
pane windows on the interior side (on-site evaluation
required). |

Low 'E' Films
Low ‘E’ Solar Control Films, such as
or Radiance or Ambiance enables the windows to reflect
interior heat back into the home or building rather
than absorbing it into the glass. If heat is absorbed
into the glass, it is cycled thru the glass to the
cooler outside, thus heat loss. A Low ‘E’
film reduces this significantly. When viewing the
product specification chart, the Emissivity value
should be as low as possible. These films have excellent
Fade Reduction as well as they reject 99.9% of the
UV rays, and reduce substantial amounts of incoming
heat from the sun. |

Harmony Films
This product was designed for areas with excessive
heat and glare problems, where a “flat”,
neutral appearance is required. In other words,
you want the benefit; you just don’t want
to know it’s there. These films add no more
reflectivity than normal glass, but still give optimum
heat, glare and UV protection. When viewing the
product specification chart, notice how the film
is 8-9% exterior reflectance (the same as clear
glass) while the heat rejection is still quite high.
This is excellent for home or storefront. |

Spectrally Selective
These virtually invisible films offer excellent
heat protection while letting in a high percentage
of light and visibility into the space. Fade Reduction
is maximized by reducing UV by 99.9%, while minimizing
the interior heat gain. These films are ideal for
storefronts and homes that want optimum view in
and out of the window, while providing the necessary
fade reduction. When viewing the product specification
chart, the Luminous Efficacy must be over 1.00 to
qualify as a Spectrally Selective Film. |

There are three main contributors to the Fading
Process that Vista Window Film can help to reduce
the damaging effects of the sun. While window film
will not stop fading, you can review the chart below
to see how the right film will significantly reduce
the amount of premature fading.
Ultraviolet Rays (A and B)
By far the single largest contributor to the
fading process, UV rays are still only 40%
of the problem. All Vista films reject 99.9%
of incoming UV rays. Vista is the only film
to presently have the approval from the Skin
Cancer Foundation as being an approved product
where the ultimate UV protection is required.
Visible Light (Glare)
Visible light is 25% of the problem. So the
darker the film, the better the protection.
This must be balanced to your situation as
the windows were put into the design of the
building for a reason. For example, a darker
film may be suitable for a commercial application,
but may not be acceptable in your home where
more natural light is needed. Heat
Heat is also 25% of the fading problem. Vista
film can help with this in three very different
ways. Reflection
The obvious way is to reflect the heat by
using a highly reflective film such as Vista
Ultima (V-14). The highly reflective layer
reflect over 70% of the incoming heat back
out thru the window. While very effective,
this film may not be desirable on a home.
Absorption
The Harmony Series offer heat reduction thru
absorption of heat with very little reflection.
|
 |
Reflection Without Reflectivity
The most complex is the Spectrally Selective series.
These films are very light, non-reflective and yet
reduce a substantial amount of the incoming heat.
This is achieved by multiple layers of reflective
precious metals bonded to non-reflective oxide layers.
Ultimately, there maybe some compromise to come
up with the right film for your situation. This
is where we can help guide you to the right film.

All Vista films are UV stabilized with 99.9% UV
protection. It is the recommended product for any
installation where maximum UV protection is required
and has the stamp of approval from the Skin Cancer
Foundation as a recommended product. |

a seven-year warranty.
- Ten-year warranty on all commercial
applications, except VE-35 and VE-50,
which carry a five-year warranty.
- Five-year limited warranty against thermal
shock fracture and up to three-year warranty
against seal failure if the sealed unit
is warranted by the original manufacturer
when the film is installed.

TIPS
To check if your windows are dual or triple pane,
hold a lighter or flashlight close to the glass.
Count the reflections of light. For dual-pane you
will see two distinct reflections, for triple-pane
you will see three. As each side of the glass gives
a reflection, don’t be concerned if you see
a shadow reflection (for example four for a dual
or six for a triple). This is valuable information
to us if we have not come out to site visit, as
it will guide us to which types of films can be
used on your windows.
For the Do-It-Yourself installer, please Do Not
apply the darkest film available on your dual or
triple-pane windows. Many films available at a local
retailer are designed for automotive use on tempered
glass. Applying such a film could cause your glass
to fail prematurely. Ask a professional when selecting
your film. |
